THE STORY OF TIGER ZHORIK

This story changed the life of a Chelyabinsk veterinarian Karen Dallakyan. One evening, a colleague from the Sverdlovsk region called him, confusedly and nervously began to talk about a tiger with a temperature of 42°C, and that he did not know what to do with it.

On the same night, a large animal was taken to Chelyabinsk. There was a huge wound on the face that smelled of decomposition. The pathological process has already switched to bone tissue. According to the words of people who brought him, the tiger (he was 5 months old) was given raw chicken that pierced his face with a bone. The local veterinarian pulled out a tooth, which only exacerbated the situation.

Karen rescued and helped Zhorik. The Siberian tiger for six months was on the verge between life and death. Zhorik organized a rout in the room, broke everything around, tore off the bandages, but gradually got better. And once after the next operation he purred. Since then, Karen has already slept next to the tiger, had breakfast with him and walked along the streets.

When the baby finally recovered, the vet called the owners of the zoo and said that the pet can be taken back. But when they arrived and saw that he simply didn’t have a part of the muzzle, they promised to take him in six months and make a skin of him. Karen could not bear this and began to collect money to buy out the animal. He asked for help and Chelyabinsk residents managed to do this.

As a result, Karen not only saved Zhorik, but also sent him to The Wildlife Rehabilitation Center "UTES", located in the taiga.

Thanks to the efforts of Karen, the tiger survived and changed the cage of the zoo to its natural habitat. This story also received wide publicity and made Zhorik a real Ural Star.
